At a Pivotal Humanitarian Milestone… The Childhood Pioneers Conference Launches from Egypt Toward Lasting Impact
During an official visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt, and in the presence of Dr. Majid Al-Rukbi, Chairman of the Board, and Ms. Rabab Bakir, Secretary-General of the International Federation for Child Rights and Defense, the first Childhood Pioneers Conference was successfully launched, marking a critical milestone that underscores that children’s rights are not a luxury, but a fundamental human and ethical obligation that cannot be postponed.
The conference served as a platform for responsible dialogue and an effective stage to raise awareness, bringing together international leaders and experts with the goal of building genuine partnerships to protect childhood and uphold children’s rights on sustainable foundations. The event was not merely a formal gathering but a strategic step reflecting a practical approach to transforming principles into tangible impact on children’s safety, dignity, and their right to protection and empowerment.
In his speech, Dr. Majid Al-Rukbi emphasized that protecting childhood is “a human duty and an ongoing responsibility,” not an option, stressing the need for international collaboration to ensure a safer future for children.
The conference also featured remarks by Advisor Ayman Al-Najjar, Head of the IFCRD Egypt Branch, who highlighted the importance of strengthening regional partnerships and intensifying the Federation’s role in supporting childhood issues at both national and international levels.
Key highlights of the conference included:
- Honoring Influential Figures: Celebrating role models who have made significant contributions to serving children’s causes.
- Sudan Initiative: Announcing field projects to support and protect children, alongside the inauguration of a new Federation branch in Sudan, reflecting regional expansion and reinforcing humanitarian presence.
- Empowering Young Talent: Nurturing promising youth to become future leaders and ambassadors for children’s rights.
The International Federation for Child Rights and Defense views conferences not as mere events, but as real action pathways that translate into tangible results and contribute to building a more just and equitable world for children.
Our message is clear:
Childhood is an ongoing cause… and a responsibility that cannot be postponed.
